Our experts are here to help! Send us your questions and we'll untangle your dilema

Q: I see dye lot and a number on the labels of the yarn I buy. What does this mean and is it important?
        Jillian S. - Alexandria, VA

A: Yarn is dyed in batches and there can be slight variations in color in the different batches. Each batch is labeled with a dye lot number when packaged. It is important if you want the color of your project to be consistent.

Q: Can I sell items that I make from a pattern I find online?
Ryan P. - San Franciso, CA

A: It depends on the pattern's copyright holder. You'll need to contact them and ask about their policy regarding the sale of items made based on their pattern.
